I redid this image for my SecondLife gallery resizing it and removing dust spots. It looks much better now. Please compare this image with this one taken just a few minutes earlier [link]

One of the greatest Grand Canyon viewpoints, Point Sublime is accessed by a rough and rugged 17 mile unpaved road. I've made it in 2WD, but have also gotten stuck in 2WD.
This image of Confucius and Mencius Temples looks east.
For those who know where to look, there is a most impressive set of Anasazi Granaries located here--far more extensive than the famous ones seen by river rafters at Nankoweap.
Point Sublime is located on the North Rim.
This image appeared on the cover of an Arizona Highways calendar a few years ago.

I've never been to Grand Canyon before. The pic looks as if someone's just descended from the sky.

To thread the sharp edge of a sword,
To run on smooth-frozen ice,
One needs no footsteps to follow.
Walk over the cliffs with hands free.

Maybe, then, you will go sometime. Have someone with you to share these moments.
Your gallery was quite well done. Take care.

its so beautiful... i remember in hawaii there were caynons that reminded me so much of this, the only difference being that in hawaii it was called the wettest spot on earth... there was constant rain so everything was covered in green, unfortunatly making much of my hike across the island verry frusterating ^^ great photo

how far are you willing to go...
for everything...
for nothing...

tanks for the fav, etc. :thanks:
when ur ready to hike the canyon, let me know and I'll tell you where to go
er...let me re-word that =D
But, thats the big difference about the GC, there's very little water. The inner-canyon is primarily a desert with temps in the spring, summer and fall like Phoenix.
I never go anywhere in the canyon unless I know where reliable water is.

this viewpoint is always spectacular even if there isn't a rainbow.

tanks.
My reason for my matting choices (I prefer matting to framing) is that the act of putting images online at DA is very uncreative. So to make myself feel llike I'm doing something creative, I indulge myself in the matting.
